Welcome to the home page of Lothian and Borders Police Federation, one of eight forces that form the Scottish Police Federation. Each of Scotland's eight police forces has its own Joint Branch Board, which elects representatives to the national body, the Joint Central Committee. The Lothian and Borders Police Force is the second biggest of the eight forces in Scotland and, as well as policing Scotland's capital, is responsible for law and order in the south east section of Scotland. Lothian and Borders Police has an establishment of approx 2700 federated ranks. Read the Secretary's monthly update here...

The Police Treatment Centres

Police officers swing into action for charity

The Police Treatment Centres charity is delighted to have again been chosen as a beneficiary of a fundraising golf day organised by two Scottish police officers.

The event, organised by David Scott from Fife Constabulary and Bob Beaton of Central Scotland Police, will take place on Tuesday 25 May on the Torrance and Kittocks courses at the prestigious Fairmont St Andrews resort in Fife. A formal dinner will follow that evening at the Fairmont Hotel.

Lothian and Borders Joint Branch Board of the Scottish Police Federation is the only statutory body representing Special Constables, Constables, Sergeants, Inspectors and Chief Inspectors in the Force.

Established by Act of Parliament in 1919 the Joint Branch Board consists of 33 Representatives elected in the various divisions and three full time officials. Follow this link to see a short biopic of your local representative and their contact details.
