Travel Advice for Indonesia

The Foreign and Commonwealth Office today amended its Travel Advice for Indonesia. In light of the improving security situation we no longer advise against all travel to the provinces of Central Sulawesi and Maluku. The relevant summary point now reads:

'We advise against all but essential travel to Central Sulawesi Province and Maluku Province, especially Ambon, where the political situation is unsettled. You should be alert to the potential for politically motivated violence. You should also exercise caution when travelling to Aceh and Papua.
